1. What cookies are
Cookies are small values stored by a browser. Similar browser storage, such as local storage, can remember a choice without sending it with every request.
2. Strictly necessary storage
Necessary storage supports security, sessions, language or currency preferences, forms, private project access and your consent choice. It is not used for advertising and does not require optional analytics consent where the law allows.
3. Optional analytics
Only after you enable analytics may we create the first-party visitor identifier vp_vid and load the configured audience analytics service. This helps us understand page use, devices, referrals and service reliability. Rejecting analytics does not reduce access to the service.
4. Marketing preferences
The banner includes a marketing preference for future integrations. This website does not currently place advertising cookies merely because that preference is enabled. Any future advertising technology must remain consent-gated and be added to this policy.
5. Providers encountered during the service
Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies. Stripe may use cookies on its hosted payment pages. If configured and consented, Ahrefs Web Analytics may receive audience analytics data. Each provider describes its own storage in its privacy or cookie notice.
